Thanks for your message Phil, to answer your question we are in contact with quite a number of old staff and cadets. many ex staff and cadets also return to us when they can find the time. At the moment we are tryin to sort out an association called the Galloway Club for ex-staff and cadets (over 18) who want to stay in contact, possibly with 1 or more reunions a year.

I was a member of the Sea cadtets in preston way back in 1995/96 I was wondering if any of the staff were still in touch with any old members such as Katherine Thompson os Richard Harrison or anyone from that era.

Whilst more information will be added to this site as time goes on it is not the only rescource available to you as Cadets for information.

During your Part One Training is the most ideal time to fill in your workbook (this is normally done during the winter months to allow for maximum boating and outdoor activities). However I am happy to accept books in between. Information for your workbooks is all over the unit on notice boards and also within books such as ADMIRALTY SEAMANSHIP MANUAL, SEA CADET POCKET MANUAL and TRAINING INSTRUCTIONS.

Please however do not hand in taskbooks completed until you have got all the points and qualifications to be promoted.

We are currently looking at getting a broadband connection in the unit when we do get it I would like all the Cadets to get involved in some way with the websites: taking pictures, doing reports etc. . . , hope ure all up for it! Any Cadets interested in taking pictures for the web please come to me I'll supply the camera for the event and we'll get hundreds of you on here!

If cadets have pictures they want to include on this site they can be e-mailed (details at the bottom of page) or handed to the 1st Lt, We can only put the pictures on which I actually have!!
