3 Jun 2007 - District Pulling Competition

There was a good attendance this year there arer seven units in the district and this year four came to compete. Fleetwood, Blackpool, and Blackburn all came to test their metal.

Within the competition there are four straight races down the length of the dock. The races are split into age categories Junior Boys/Girls races which are for cadets aged 12 - 15 and and open Boys/Girls which are between 12 and 18 years old.

We entered the Open Boys despite the majority of the crew being under 15, however we did well coming third to Blackpool 1st and Fleetwood 2nd  and there was literally a boat length in it! Blackburn open boys came 4th.(Good to see you at the competition)
