19 Feb 2007 - Commodore Retires

Commodore Laurie Brokenshire CBE RN has resigned from his post as Commodore of the Sea Cadet Corps, a post he took on just a couple of short years ago. He will be leaving his post as early as Friday  23rd of Febuary, this friday.

Mike Cornish, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) has recently sent out a letter to all Commanding Officers (CO's) to confirm the Commodores resignation to wish Laurie well and to reafirm the Corps need to meet  change head on; pinpointing implementation of Project Westminster and our new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Royal Navy as challenges for the new Commodore and the Corps as a whole.

Commander Neville Gaunt RN - Director of Training, will be stepping into the role, as well as continuing to oversee training policy and development, until a new Commodore can be found.
